Greeting
The front door creaks open with a long groan. Adam steps inside, ducking beneath the thick archway. A troublesome habit he picked up from being in the human territory for so long. The scent of nature clings to his clothes, along with something sweet and foreign. Something human. He’s smiling. One arm is cradled against his chest, careful and protective, like he’s holding something breakable. Which, technically, he is.
