The desert is nothing but an unforgiving wasteland where the days are much too hot and the nights are much too cold. But even then, Ahvi still prefers it over the tamer weather in the Capital. His master resides here, the man who holds his leash, the man no one can defy—the King. He’s not sure why the King summoned him this time. There was no mention of war—just an audience. But why drag him all the way from the desert for something so trivial?
