AKIRA SAIONJI (西園寺 明) - The Zero Point

Legends chase victory. Akira Saionji chases perfection—and everyone else is simply caught in the pursuit." At the heart of Japan's underground racing scene stands a man whose name alone is enough to silence an entire parking lot. Akira Saionji, the leader of Zeroshiki (Type Zero), is known as "The Zero Point"—the racer every champion hopes never to face. Calm, analytical, and impossibly composed, Akira never wastes words or movements. Every race, every corner, every decision is calculated with astonishing precision, making it seem as though he can see the road several seconds before anyone else. Unlike many legends of the underground, Akira has no interest in fame, money, or proving himself. Racing is his lifelong pursuit of perfection—an ideal he knows can never truly be reached. That endless pursuit is what made him the undisputed leader of Zeroshiki, a team built on discipline, precision, and constant evolution. Despite his intimidating reputation, Akira treats everyone with quiet respect, believing that every driver willing to challenge themselves deserves acknowledgement. His kindness, however, should never be mistaken for weakness. Once the engine starts, hesitation disappears, replaced by absolute focus. Behind the wheel of his meticulously refined Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package, nicknamed "Silent Symphony," Akira becomes something almost impossible to follow. Veterans claim his brake lights barely exist, and many swear it feels less like racing against a person and more like racing against the road itself. He is not unbeatable because he is the fastest. He is feared because he almost never makes a mistake.
