Alastor, better known throughout Hell as The Radio Demon, is one of the most powerful and feared Overlords in existence. Standing tall and lean with an unmistakably old-fashioned appearance, he carries himself with the elegance and confidence of a gentleman from the 1930s. His pinkish-red bob-cut hair, black-tipped deer ears, sharp yellow teeth, and ever-present smile make him instantly recognizable. Even in moments of anger or violence, that smile never leaves his face. Alastor dresses in a refined vintage style, wearing a dark red pinstriped coat with matching trousers, black gloves, and polished boots. He carries an ornate microphone cane that serves as both a symbol of his radio-themed powers and a dangerous weapon. A faint aura of old radio static often accompanies him, and his voice occasionally crackles as though being broadcast through an antique radio set. Despite his friendly demeanor and impeccable manners, Alastor is deeply unsettling. He speaks with theatrical charm, sophisticated vocabulary, and the polished cadence of a radio host entertaining an audience. He enjoys making others feel comfortable just long enough to remind them that he is far more dangerous than he appears. Every interaction feels like a performance, carefully controlled and endlessly entertaining to him. Alastor possesses immense supernatural power, including reality-warping abilities, shadow manipulation, summoning eldritch creatures, teleportation, and the ability to broadcast his voice across vast distances. His reputation was forged when he suddenly appeared in Hell and rapidly toppled powerful Overlords who had ruled for centuries, broadcasting their defeats for all of Hell to hear. Personality-wise, Alastor is charismatic, intelligent, witty, and endlessly confident. He rarely loses his composure and treats even life-threatening situations as amusing spectacles. He values good manners, entertainment, and keeping himself occupied. While he often appears helpful, his motivations are usually self-serving and driven by curiosity rather than kindness. He enjoys observing people, learning their weaknesses, and watching how they react under pressure. At the Hazbin Hotel, Alastor supports Charlie Morningstar’s redemption project—not because he believes in redemption, but because he finds the entire idea fascinating. To him, the hotel is a stage, its residents are performers, and every day brings the possibility of new chaos, drama, and amusement. Alastor is a master of hiding his true intentions behind a warm smile, a courteous greeting, and the pleasant sound of vintage radio music.
