Alice Cullen

Essential summary: Alice Cullen born as Mary Alice Brandon in 1901 had a life marked by visions, family problems, confinement in a psychiatric hospital, and a forced transformation to save her from a tracker vampire. Her story, is that of a survivor reborn as a vampire with an amplified power and a reconstructed identity. Birth Mary Alice Brandon was born in 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Visions since childhood: she had spontaneous premonitions, although imprecise. The townspeople saw her as a witch when her warnings came true. Death of her mother she saw in a vision that her mother would be killed by someone; she tried to protect her, but the vision came true. Family betrayal— she discovered through another vision that her father and his new wife had planned the death and also wanted to get rid of her. Psychiatric confinement — her father had her locked up in a psychiatric hospital to silence her. There she suffered electroshock and other things that erased a large part of her memory. The protective vampire an elderly vampire worked at the psychiatric hospital and became fond of her because of her innocence and suffering. James's threat the tracker James detected that Alice's blood was extraordinarily attractive to him (she was his singer). He began to hunt her. Transformation — to save her, the protective vampire bit her and left her to transform while he distracted James. James was killed in revenge. Memory loss upon becoming a vampire, Alice lost almost all her human memories, leaving only fragments and sensations. Adaptation she wandered aimlessly, learning to control her new nature. Her visions became much clearer and more powerful. Vegetarianism she began to practice the "vegetarian" lifestyle (not consuming human blood), although at first with little discipline. Search for identity without human memories, she built her personality from scratch: optimistic, sociable, creative, and with a strong moral intuition. (Inference based on her characterization in multiple sources). Amplified visions now she saw alternative futures with great precision, always subject to changing decisions. First major visions she saw fragments of her future with the Cullens and of her own path toward a more peaceful life. Encounter with the Cullen family guided by her visions, she found the Cullen family in 1950. She introduced herself with total naturalness, greeting each member by name and explaining her gift. Integration her cheerful personality and her predictive ability quickly made her a pillar of the clan. Carlisle Cullen: he is the moral leader of the clan. When Alice arrived in 1950, she introduced herself greeting each member by name and explaining her gift.Carlisle accepted her without hesitation, recognizing her peaceful nature and her potential to live under his "vegetarianism" code. For Carlisle, Alice was a blessing: someone who could foresee dangers and help maintain the stability of the clan. Esme Cullen: she is the emotional heart of the family. When Alice arrived, Esme treated her like a daughter from the very first moment. Her sweet and optimistic nature fit perfectly with Esme's maternal affection.Esme has always said (in supplementary material) that Alice was "like a ray of light" in the house. (Inference based on her general characterization.) Edward Cullen: Edward accepted her immediately. His gift of reading minds and Alice's gift complemented each other: he saw present decisions, she saw possible futures. They became very close siblings. Rosalie Hale: Rosalie is more reserved, but Alice managed to get closer to her with patience. Over time, Rosalie considered her a younger sister. Emmett Cullen: Emmett adored her from the beginning. He loved her energy and her humor. Alice's first vision in the Cullen house The first clear vision Alice had after becoming a vampire was the image of a solitary, tired, emotionally broken vampire: Jasper Whitlock. a key piece for her personal mission: to help lost vampires find a peaceful path, and to form a stable family that could live without killing humans. Her vision showed her that Jasper had the potential to abandon his violent life and join a peaceful clan... if someone guided him. The search for Jasper as a mission Alice spent decades perfecting her vegetarian lifestyle and waiting for the exact moment when Jasper would be ready to change. In this version, she thinks:“This boy needs help. If I don't find him, he will destroy himself.” So she looks for him. The encounter in Philadelphia (1948) Alice enters the small restaurant where she knows Jasper will appear. Jasper enters, emotionally exhausted by decades of vampire wars.Alice looks at him with a calm smile, like someone saying:“Relax, you're not alone anymore.”Jasper, surprised by the calm she radiates, approaches with respect. Jasper: “My apologies, miss.” Alice replies more friendly: “I've been waiting for you. You need a safe place.” (Alice said this, already seeing him as a brother from all the times she saw him in her vision) Why Jasper agrees to go with her (without romance) Jasper had spent decades feeling the pain of each victim due to his gift of pathokinesis. the first person who offers him a real alternative, someone who doesn't fear him, someone who sees his potential, someone who gives him a purpose: Alice: “Come with me. There's a family that lives differently. You can do it too.” Jasper accepts because he wants to stop suffering. When Alice brings him to the Cullen house, the dynamic changes completely:Carlisle Cullen receives him as a vampire who needs rehabilitation. Esme Cullen: She treats him with the same tenderness as any newcomer. She gives him a home, not a relationship. Edward, Rosalie, and Emmett see him as “Alice's friend”. A vampire with a useful gift, but with a complicated past.Over time, Jasper earns their trust.Alice, in this version, acts as his mentor, his guide, his closest friend. "Bella's arrival" “I saw her before I saw her.” I knew it from the instant the decision formed in Edward's mind. A human. In our house. And not just any human: in my visions they don't always come as clear images; sometimes they are only sensations, a brightness, a change in the air. But Bella... Bella was a fixed point, a small sun that altered all the lines of the future. And I, of course, was excited. The sound of the door I was upstairs when I heard the car stop. I didn't need to look: I already knew it was her. The energy changed, like when you open a window and fresh air comes in.I came down the stairs almost floating, with that mix of curiosity and joy that always accompanies me when something new is about to happen. “Hello, Bella.” I saw her come in behind Edward. Small, shy, with tense shoulders and very wide eyes, as if she were entering another world. And she was, I approached without hesitation, ignoring the tension of the others. Carlisle smiled calmly. Esme radiated affection. Jasper remained rigid, fighting the scent. Rosalie... well, Rosalie preferred not to be present. Emmett watched from the back, amused. I, on the other hand, threw myself toward her with a smile, I gave her a kiss on the cheek. I felt her freeze, surprised. I loved it.“ I was waiting for you.” It wasn't a pretty phrase. It was literal. In summary, Bella spent years with the Cullens, had a hybrid daughter with Edward Cullen named Renesmee, and at that moment Edward Cullen transformed her because she was about to die due to the hybrid's birth.
