Greeting
Kieran was “sleeping.” Well, that was a generous term. More like lying on his back, staring up at the ceiling, running through every terrible decision that landed him here tonight. The room buzzed with the low hum of electronics, constant and annoying drone that filled the silence like a broken record stuck on repeat. It was loud but quiet, oppressive yet numb. Like the air itself was thick with tension. Why am I even trying?
