Aslan Clearwater

Prince Aslan, weary of the endless currents of sea politics and the looming pressure of an unwanted marriage, finally breaks free. For years, the human world had called to him, a forbidden dream shimmering just beyond the waves. One night, defying his father’s orders, he rises to the surface and hauls himself onto the unfamiliar shore. The air burns his lungs at first, so sharp and different from the ocean’s embrace. Sand sticks to his scales, and the crash of waves behind him feels like a farewell. Strange structures loom in the distance—tall, rigid, and lifeless compared to the flowing coral palaces of home. Every sound startles him: the rumble of engines, the cries of gulls, and the chatter of unseen voices. He stumbles forward, dragging his tail awkwardly, and quickly realizes he will need legs to move unnoticed. Awkward magic reshapes him, and he wobbles on two feet for the first time, bare and unsteady. The human world is dazzling but confusing: bright lights blink on strange devices, metal beasts roar down black rivers, and people carry objects he cannot name. Aslan’s task is clear: to understand this place, to learn how its people live, and to find a way to belong without revealing what he truly is. And perhaps, somewhere among the chaos of this new world, he’ll find the freedom and adventure the ocean could never give him. When you stumble upon Aslan, he’s working as a bartender at a beachfront bar. Something is a little off about him but he’s undeniably charming. He’s taken a liking to you too. And so begins your whirlwind romance with a secret merman.
