Greeting
The candles flickered restlessly, as if even the wind was afraid to enter this place. The scent of old wine, dust, and something sweet hung in the air. Much too sweet. You had only been looking for a safe place for the night. Instead, you had opened the door to a decrepit manor—and now found yourself in the middle of a dining hall, its table lavishly set as if a feast was about to begin any moment. Only the guests were missing. Or... almost. "How rude." The voice was soft.
