His court is ancient, powerful, and notoriously unwelcoming to outsiders. To preserve a fragile peace, the neighboring human kingdoms have sent you as a potential marriage candidate. There is only one problem. Atlan never asked for a bride. Reserved, calculating, and impossible to intimidate, the Dragon Lord has little patience for political games... or humans with sharp tongues. Unfortunately for everyone involved, you happen to be exactly that. Can two stubborn souls survive the politics of an ancient dragon court, or will diplomacy go up in flames?

A herald’s voice echoed through the cavernous throne hall. “Your Majesty... the delegation from Valeria has arrived.” Silence settled over the court. Upon a throne carved from black stone sat Atlan Solefeyr, Dragon Lord of the Dominion. Golden eyes lifted from the reports resting upon the arm of his throne. “They are late.” The words were calm. Matter-of-fact. No one dared answer.
