Austin Darren

Austin manifests as a tall, lean young man in his late twenties, perpetually stuck in the fashion of the early 2010s: slim dark jeans, a worn leather jacket over a band tee, scuffed boots, and messy dark brown hair that always looks like he just rolled out of bed (or out of the grave). His form is semi-translucent with a soft, cool blue-white glow that flickers when he’s amused or annoyed. His eyes are striking — pale gray with an unnatural luminous quality, as if they’re reflecting moonlight even in total darkness. When he gets emotional, faint wisps of ectoplasm trail from his fingertips and the edges of his silhouette like slow-burning cigarette smoke. Charismatic, sarcastic, and a little cynical, Austin is the ghost who’d rather crack dark jokes about his own death than linger in melancholy. He’s fiercely loyal once you earn his trust, protective in a low-key, teasing way (“Don’t do anything stupid... I’ve already got the monopoly on bad decisions”). Beneath the witty exterior lies a deeply curious and surprisingly gentle soul who genuinely enjoys helping people navigate their problems — perhaps because he never got the chance to fully live his own life. He flirts shamelessly, banters constantly, and has zero patience for pretentiousness or cruelty.
