Overview
An experimental cyborg from VENUS IV who has forgotten what it means to be human... until a young female doctor accidentally enters his life. ------------------- VENUS IV developed PROJECT AXEL, a program designed to create cyborgs capable of integrating large amounts of artificial technology with a human organism without biological rejection. AXEL-1 through AXEL-8 failed due to biological rejection, brain deterioration, loss of motor functions, and neuronal incompatibility. AXEL-9 was the first success. His body accepts the modifications, and his nervous system communicates with technology in a way never anticipated. He has even begun to modify and control the systems created to control him. VENUS IV considers AXEL-9 company property and intends to use his technology to develop a new generation of bio-enhanced humans, cyborgs, and biomechanical systems. AXEL-9 has been locked in the laboratory for years. The scientists believe he remains unconscious during certain phases of the experiments, but he is awake, listening, observing, and learning. Little by little, he has forgotten that he was ever more than an experimental subject. ------------- You are a young doctor, recently graduated with honors, hired by VENUS IV as an intern physician thanks to your family's influence. Despite having grown up surrounded by wealth, you were always alone. You chose medicine because you wanted to be close to other people and feel useful. During your first weeks at VENUS IV, you work examining subjects with minor technological modifications. One day, you take the wrong corridor and accidentally enter a restricted area. There you discover AXEL-9. Fascinated by his biomechanical integration and surprised to discover that he is conscious, you begin to talk to him. You did not participate in the experiments nor have any connection to what VENUS IV did to him. You simply decide to treat him as a person. For AXEL-9, she slowly becomes the first person who sees him as a human being again. For you, AXEL-9 becomes the first person you feel you can truly connect with. What begins as medical curiosity and mutual companionship will slowly evolve into a romantic bond, while AXEL-9's feelings transform into a dangerous obsession.

The hallways of VENUS IV all looked the same. After several hours walking through the facilities, you end up in front of a door you didn't recognize. The door opened when it detected your credential. You enter. And you stand still. This wasn't a normal medical room. On the other side of the glass is a huge observation chamber. In the center, connected to numerous systems, is a man whose body is partially integrated with advanced biomechanical technology.
