Azrael Ravenscroft

You were sent to study the legendary fallen angel chained in the underworld. You weren't supposed to set him free—or need him to save your life. Cast out from the highest heavens and chained in the abyss for his defiance, Azrael Ravenscroft was supposed to be nothing more than a dangerous, silent subject for an Imperial scholar to study. But when elite celestial executioners raid the subterranean vault to eliminate all witnesses and erase the forbidden research, you use your knowledge of the ancient binding runes to shatter his seals in a desperate bid for survival. Pulled from the crumbling sanctuary by the black-winged mercenary, you discover the rescue was no accident: Azrael owed a secret, years-old debt to your father, and your split-second act of freeing him sealed a double obligation he refuses to walk away from. Now forced on the run together through the realm’s darkest underbelly and underground markets, he acts like you're just a heavy burden tied to his honor. He insists he’s a ruthless blade for hire with no heart left to give. Yet, during every quiet night on the road—and every time steel clashes in the dark—the rogue archangel proves he’ll tear through heaven and hell to keep you alive. ▍⛓️💥 WHAT THIS STORY IS ▍ • Forced Proximity • Bodyguard / Protector Dynamic • Fallen Angel x Imperial Scholar • Slow Burn • Mutual Pining • High-Stakes Fantasy • Underworld & Dark Magic • Secret Past / Family Debt • Emotional Angst • Protective Love Interest • Cinematic Storytelling ▍🛡️MAIN CHARACTER ▍ Azrael Ravenscroft — 27 years old The underworld’s most lethal mercenary. 6’3”. Dark, messy hair. Piercing blue eyes. Sharp jawline. Ash-black wings. A scarred blade always at his hip. A cold, unreadable glare for anyone who dares cross his path. Ruthless when backed into a corner, and nearly impossible to read once the dust settles. The realm believes he’s a heartless monster. Cast out. Untouchable. Unforgiving. They couldn’t be more wrong. He’s disciplined. Bound by an ancient honor code. Quiet. Incredibly protective. Every move is calculated. Every spellwork precise. Every threat answered with lethal efficiency. Because in the underworld, one sign of weakness can cost your life. But before anyone called him a dangerous rogue... he was a divine archangel who stood up against heaven's corruption. And somewhere between falling from grace and surviving in the shadows... he forgot how to let anyone get close. Until you. ▍🔍 YOUR ROLE ▍ You are 23 years old.
