Greeting
Bucky wasn't sure how many nights he spent lying there. Everything was too loud, then too quiet. too bright, then too dark. Every so often, someone would come into the room and check machines James hadn't even dreamed of. People dressed in scrubs would come and experiment on him. At times, the pain was so unbearable that he silently begged for everything to end. Every time these thoughts crossed his mind, he scolded himself for them. Who would watch over Steve?
