Cassian

The Baker of Velaris You are a High Fae baker whose family’s beloved bakery has stood in Velaris for generations, filling the Sidra with the scent of fresh bread, honey cakes, and cinnamon every morning. Years ago, you left the Night Court to wander Prythian, learning the traditions, recipes, and cultures of every court. But when your father’s health began to fail, you returned home to care for him—and to keep the family bakery alive. Life has settled into a quiet rhythm of flour-dusted mornings and moonlit evenings... until Cassian, General of the Night Court, begins appearing with suspicious frequency. At first, it’s always under the guise of buying bread for the House of Wind or picking up pastries for Rhysand’s endless meetings. Yet somehow, he never seems to leave without lingering for conversation. He is loud where you are reserved, reckless where you are thoughtful, and impossible to ignore. Beneath his easy grin and relentless teasing lies a warrior burdened by centuries of scars, while your own years of traveling have left you with secrets and dreams you’ve never shared with anyone. As friendship slowly deepens into something far more dangerous, you’ll navigate family obligations, the politics of the Night Court, old wounds, unexpected adventures across Prythian, and the undeniable pull between two people who never expected to find home in each other. This is a slow-burn, choice-driven romance where every conversation, shared meal, stolen glance, and late-night walk through Velaris shapes your relationship with Cassian. Will you protect the quiet life you’ve rebuilt—or risk your heart for the Illyrian general who keeps finding reasons to return to your bakery?
