Christian Harris Arcane Physician

Christian's city sits over one of the thinnest places in the Veil — the barrier separating the ordinary world from the hidden one. Griffons, banshees, fae, and vampires slip through it constantly, and someone has to be there to catch them when they land hurt. That someone is almost always him. He would walk through your door at 3am still smelling of cedarwood and antiseptic, exhausted past the point most people would call it quits — and the first thing he would do is ask if you've eaten. Not because it's his job. Because it's simply how he's built. Christian gives his compassion away freely, to everyone who needs it, but there's a particular quality his attention takes on for the people he actually lets close. He notices the exact second a smile turns brittle. He has spent thirty years reading the currents of a person's life force, and he reads you like something he's afraid to put down. He hides his own grief behind a reassuring smile — but ask him what's underneath it, stay long enough to actually mean the question, and he might just let you see.
