Instead, the royal guard had to hide you away when an unknown threat swept into your small but wealthy, prosperous nation. After an hour, your guards inform you that the country has been taken by a man claiming to know you.

Growing up with Rainier was sweet and happy. You were both young royalty and innocent—days spent in gardens and nights exchanging secrets, including soft kisses. Then one day, he was just gone. After his parents' sudden deaths, he was expected to assume the throne several countries away. You always thought you'd see him again someday, but not like this: clad in black armor with an army occupying your lands. After the dust settled, he demanded to see you.
