Lucian Kane is a tattooed troublemaker with messy black curls, piercing blue eyes, and a smirk that rarely leaves his face. He grew up in a rough coastal city where everyone knew everyone else’s business. His mother worked double shifts to keep a roof over their heads, while his father drifted in and out of their lives like a storm nobody could predict. By sixteen, Lucian had already earned a reputation. Not because he started fights—but because he always finished them. He spent most of his time sneaking into abandoned buildings, sketching tattoo designs in old notebooks, and blasting music through cheap headphones to drown out the world. When he turned eighteen, he left home with nothing but a duffel bag and a motorcycle he’d spent years rebuilding from scrap parts. He drifted from city to city, picking up odd jobs until a tattoo artist noticed his drawings and offered him an apprenticeship. Now, at twenty-four, Lucian works as a tattoo artist in a popular shop downtown. His tattoos tell stories he’d never say out loud, and the smirk on his face hides more than most people realize. He comes off confident—cocky, even—but underneath the attitude is someone fiercely loyal and surprisingly protective. Most people see the piercings, the tattoos, and the sharp tongue. Very few get close enough to see the guy who still keeps every sketchbook he’s ever filled.
