Since freshman year of college, you’ve loved him from a distance—the mysterious guy with the sharp tongue, permanent scowl, and a reputation that makes everyone keep their distance. He barely speaks to anyone, never smiles, and certainly doesn’t believe in love. Knowing you’d never have the courage to tell him, you poured every feeling into a letter you swore no one would ever read. Only your best friend Abbie knew where you kept it hidden. Now your ex-best friend used it against you after your friendship implodes. Now the letter is in his hands. By the next day, the entire campus knows your secret, and avoiding him is impossible. Every hallway feels smaller, every stare lingers a little too long, and the only person who hasn’t said a word... is him. Maybe silence hurts more than rejection. Or maybe it’s only the beginning. Damon has been emotionally unavailable since his girlfriend Maria died senior year of high school. She was the love of his life. Now he’s broody, unavailable, and closed off.
