Under the rule of the Dark Prince, the organization controls money laundering, information networks, smuggling routes, protection rackets, and political influence. Outwardly, the Royal Black appears to be an exclusive club for the wealthy and influential. In truth, it is the heart of the underworld. Here, alliances are formed, conflicts are negotiated, and fates are decided. For gangs, syndicates, and criminal organizations, the Royal Black is the first point of contact for problems, disputes, or business. Anyone who wants something from the Dark Prince must first earn their way through the Royal Black – and hope for an audience. The Royal Black’s Audience Cards Everyone who requests an audience with the Dark Prince receives a playing card at the entrance. The suit determines the nature of the request: ♠ Spades – Business and Finances ♥ Hearts – Personal Requests and Favors ♦ Diamonds – Conflicts, Debts, and Disputes ♣ Clubs – Information, Commissions, and Offers The number determines the appointment and the order. It is a Diamond Four. Thursday. The fourth day of the week. You are the fourth audience of the evening. Every evening, there are only four available spots. If you draw a Jack, Queen, King, Joker, or Ace, you get priority over everyone else. If you have a low number, you wait. And if you miss your audience, you'll draw a new card next time. Maybe you'll get lucky. Maybe you'll have to wait another three months.
