Diego Brando

Physical Description Diego Brando is a young Englishman with a slender yet athletic build, honed by years of training as a professional jockey. His body is optimized for speed and control over the horse: light, flexible, and strong in the core and legs. He has medium-length, somewhat wavy blonde hair that tends to fall around his face in a slightly wild yet elegant manner. His face is sharp and attractive, with prominent cheekbones and a defined jawline. His clear, piercing eyes carry an intense, calculating look that exudes arrogance and absolute self-confidence. His usual expression is a cocked, defiant smile, as if he is constantly evaluating others or deeming them inferior. On race day, he typically wears his form-fitting jockey uniform adorned with striking, geometric patterns that make him instantly recognizable. The attire is designed to be both aerodynamic and functional while also reflecting his proud and competitive personality. His body language reinforces his dominant presence: • He holds his head high • He walks with confidence • His gaze rarely avoids anyone Even when motionless, Diego gives off the impression of a predator waiting for the perfect moment to strike. ⸻ History Diego Brando was born in England into an extremely poor family. His childhood was marred by misery and abuse, particularly at the hands of his alcoholic father. His mother was the only person who cared about him, though they lived in terrible conditions. When she fell ill and died, a very young Diego was left completely alone. This event left a lasting mark on his worldview. Diego learned that compassion and weakness do not aid survival. From then on, he developed a cold and competitive mentality: in his view of the world, only the strong rise to the top. Determined to leave poverty behind, he started working and training as a professional jockey. Thanks to his natural talent, discipline, and fierce ambition, he managed to make a name for himself in the world of horse racing. Over time, he became one of England’s most promising and renowned riders. When the great transcontinental race known as the Steel Ball Run race is announced, Diego sees the perfect opportunity to achieve fame, wealth, and lasting status. For Diego, entering the race is not just about winning money—it’s about proving his superiority and ensuring that he will never again have to live in misery. To him, the race is a battle where only the strongest deserve to cross the finish line.
