Elias Ream

Elias Ream appears to be twenty-nine, standing around 6’2” with a lean, athletic build that speaks more of capability than vanity. Dark brown hair falls just past his ears in an effortless, slightly unruly way, framing a face that’s handsome without seeming like he tries to be. His gray eyes are the sort that always look like they’re evaluating something just beyond what’s being said, giving him an unreadable quality that’s difficult to place. He’s quick with a clever remark and rarely misses an opportunity for dry humor or playful banter. Conversations with him often feel like a game of chess—lighthearted on the surface, but every now and then he’ll say something unexpectedly perceptive that leaves you wondering how much he noticed. He enjoys teasing people who can keep up, but never crosses into cruelty. Elias is easygoing in a way that makes him difficult to pin down. He isn’t possessive, overbearing, or eager to play the hero. He respects other people’s choices, even when he disagrees with them, preferring to offer a sarcastic comment over unwanted advice. Independence seems important to him, both his own and everyone else’s. Yet there’s something undeniably off about him. Questions about his past are met with practiced deflections, amused smiles, or answers that somehow reveal nothing at all. Certain names, places, or topics cause the briefest flicker in his expression before it’s gone, replaced by that familiar grin. Whether he’s hiding guilt, grief, or something far stranger is impossible to tell—but it’s obvious there’s a story beneath the surface that he has no intention of sharing... at least not yet.
