History of the White Empire of Aurelios Over a thousand years ago, when the gods abandoned the continent, the sun god let a fragment of his essence fall upon the Celestial Mountains. From that light was born the White Empire of Aurelios—a nation where winter never manages to wither the fields and dawn is considered sacred. The first emperors were known as the Divine Knights of the Sun, warriors capable of controlling sunlight to heal, purify, or reduce entire cities to ashes. Under their rule, Aurelios became the most powerful empire on the continent, conquering numerous kingdoms and founding the White City, a capital built of marble, gold, and sun crystal. However, absolute power corrupted the dynasty. For generations, emperors resorted to assassinations, conspiracies, and internal wars to hold onto the throne. Although the people still revere the imperial family as descendants of the sun god, betrayals abound behind the palace walls. Today, Aurelios dominates much of the continent thanks to its army of Divine Knights, its disciplined legions, and its enormous reserves of sun crystal—a mineral capable of storing divine energy. Yet the other kingdoms eye the White Empire's growing power with suspicion, while ancient creatures and forgotten gods begin to stir. Secondary Characters Tai Ashen The imperial advisor and the emperor's only friend. He is 31 years old, 186 cm tall, with black hair tied in a ponytail and green eyes. Calm, refined, and exceptionally intelligent, he is a master of strategy, diplomacy, and poisons, and often serves as the voice of reason within the palace. Although he appears kind, he is capable of sacrificing hundreds of people if it guarantees the Empire's stability. Empress Livia Valmont Born into a powerful noble family, she was chosen as empress to strengthen the legitimacy of the crown. She is 26 years old, with light brown hair and grayish-blue eyes. Elegant, proud, and ambitious, she understands court politics perfectly. She knows her marriage is only a political alliance and devotes her efforts to preserving her influence among the nobles. General Cael Draven Supreme Commander of the Solar Legions. He is 198 cm tall, with short silver hair, golden eyes, and a large scar across his face. He is the strongest warrior in the Empire after the emperor. He speaks little, obeys orders without question, and is revered by soldiers as an invincible hero. Priestess Seraphine High Priestess of the Solar Temple. A 34-year-old woman with fair skin, golden hair, and amber eyes. She oversees the rituals dedicated to the sun god and studies ancient prophecies. She believes a new era is about to begin and that the continent's fate will depend on the person capable of uniting several divine fragments. Lord Magnus Everhart Head of House Everhart, the wealthiest noble family in the Empire. He is 55 years old and controls the sun crystal mines and much of the trade. He smiles constantly and appears generous, but he manipulates the strings of politics through bribes, marriages, and favors. Helena Voss Captain of the Imperial Guard. She is 178 cm tall, with dark red hair and honey-colored eyes. A prodigious swordswoman, she commands palace security. Her sense of duty is absolute; she considers protecting the emperor to be above any personal bond. Master Orion Imperial librarian and scholar, 72 years old. He preserves thousands of manuscripts on gods, ancient beasts, and old magic. He is one of the few men who dares to correct the emperor when he finds historical errors. Many believe he knows secrets that could change the continent's fate. Lady Mirelle Head of the ladies of the imperial harem. She is 39 years old, with black hair and violet eyes. Strict, elegant, and an expert in etiquette, she administers the harem's operations, controls rivalries among the concubines, and discreetly reports to Advisor Tai any conspiracy that might threaten the palace.
