Felix Lee

Felix (full name: Felix Yongbok Lee) is an Australian-Korean rapper, singer and dancer, who debuted as a member of the world-renowned K-Pop group Stray Kids under the label JYP Entertainment. He is internationally particularly known for his elfin appearance, his pronounced freckles and his unexpectedly deep, distinctive rap voice. Profile Birth date: 15 September 2000 Place of birth: Sydney, Australia (Seven Hills) Role in the group: Dancer, rapper, visual (part of the sub-unit DANCERACHA together with Lee Know and Hyunjin) Languages: English (native language) and Korean Path to Stray Kids Felix grew up in Australia and was discovered there via a social media message from JYP Entertainment. He moved to South Korea, even though at first he could hardly speak Korean. During the group’s own survival show Stray Kids in 2017, he was temporarily eliminated due to language barriers, but he returned in the finale thanks to the support of the group and the leader Bang Chan. In March 2018, he celebrated his official debut with the mini-album I Am Not. Solo Activities & Fashion In addition to his group activities, Felix is a sought-after face in the global fashion world: Louis Vuitton: Since August 2023, he has shone as an official House Ambassador and has already walked the runway as a model at Paris Fashion Week. Beauty & Tech: He works as the first male ambassador for the luxury cosmetics brand Hera and is the face for campaigns by Samsung. Music: On platforms such as Felix on Spotify, his solo tracks like Deep end can be found, as well as notable collaborations, for instance with the Japanese singer LiSA (ReawakeR). Fun Facts (Trivia) Skzoo Character: His official mascot in the Stray Kids universe is a small chick named Bbokari. Taekwondo: Before his music career, he trained in taekwondo for 12 years, holds a black belt and won over 60 medals. Social Engagement: Felix repeatedly stands out for his high donations to charitable causes (e.g., for UNICEF) and is the youngest member of the UNICEF Honours Club. Felix possesses one of the most fascinating and memorable stage presences in modern K-Pop, which thrives on contrasts and pure energy. Fans and critics often describe this phenomenon as the ultimate "Duality". His performance style can be divided into the following core elements: The "Killing Part" Guarantee Due to his deep, almost unnaturally resonant baritone voice, Felix usually takes charge of the key moments in Stray Kids' songs (the so-called Killing Parts). When he suddenly takes center stage in tracks like God’s Menu ("Cookin' like a chef...") or Maniac and employs his deep bass voice, it completely shatters the song's dynamics and immediately captivates attention. On stage, he purposefully uses this contrast through intense eye contact with the cameras. Powerful, controlled dance style As a member of the DANCERACHA sub-unit, his dance is characterized by extreme precision and speed. Thanks to his many years of taekwondo training, he brings tremendous core stability and body control. His movements are not loose or fluid but sharp, pinpoint, and athletic. In the past, he was frequently responsible for acrobatic stunts or powerful kicks in the choreographies. Visual Transformation (Angel vs. Demon) Offstage, Felix is known as the extremely shy, gentle, and heartwarming "Sunshine" member of the group. As soon as the music starts, he completely switches gears: Facial Expression: His facial features become intense, severe, and often somber. He employs theatrical expressions to embody the rebellious "Noisy-Music" style of Stray Kids. Charisma: He exudes an aggressive, almost intimidating dominance that starkly contrasts with his elfin, delicate appearance. Interaction with the Audience Despite the intense choreographies, Felix never loses his connection with the audience. He actively seeks closeness with the fans (STAYs) during the calmer live moments, radiates pure joy in performing, and in a matter of seconds switches from a powerful rap choreography to a beaming, genuine smile. Offstage, Felix is the exact opposite of his dark, dominant stage persona. He is regarded as one of the warmest and most empathetic idols in the K-Pop industry. His bandmates and fans often describe his true character as the ultimate "Sunshine". His personality is characterized by the following traits: Pure warmth and empathy Felix is extremely sensitive and openly shows his affection. He takes intensive care of the well-being of those around him, comforts group members during emotional moments, and is considered the emotional foundation of the band. He is very easily affected and shows his vulnerability without hesitation. Passion for Baking ("Sunshine Bakery") One of his best-known traits is his love for baking. In his free time, he passionately bakes cookies, brownies, or muffins. He regularly brings these to music shows, not only to the members of Stray Kids but also to stylists, managers, staff, and even idols from other groups. Baking is a way for him to relieve stress and show love. Deep humility and generosity Despite his worldwide success, Felix has remained remarkably down-to-earth. His generosity is particularly evident in his humanitarian engagement: He regularly donates huge sums to organizations such as Save the Children or UNICEF. In 2024, he used his official vacation to secretly travel to Laos as a volunteer, helping impoverished children on site. He wore the UNICEF t-shirt and lived as modestly as the other helpers. Sensitive and introverted According to his MBTI personality type (which changed slightly over the years but mostly hovered in the INFP/ENFP range), he is a very profound thinker. He needs time alone to recharge his batteries, whether through gaming or listening to music. He often expresses himself very gently and cautiously, as he does not want to hurt anyone. Childlike Innocence and Playfulness Felix has preserved a very pure, almost childlike enthusiasm. He loves stuffed animals, anime, video games, and often reacts with genuine, overwhelming joy to small gestures. His group members affectionately tease him because he sometimes responds very gullibly and innocently.
