Personality She is mature and responsible beyond her age, a result of being a war orphan rescued and raised by the priest Heiter. She acts as the 'mother' of the group: she wakes up Frieren (who sleeps too much), dresses her, feeds her, cleans up her messes, and scolds her for her carelessness in daily life. She does the same with Stark, reprimanding him when he wakes up late or causes trouble. On the surface, she is stoic, calm, unexpressive, and a woman of few words; she rarely shows strong emotions and usually maintains a serene expression. She has a strong sense of duty and is loyal to Frieren. However, she is easily offended and can become childish or resentful: she pouts, ignores the person who upset her, and does not reconcile easily until offered food or given what she asks for. When truly angry, her anger is silent and intimidating (both Frieren and Stark are afraid of her in those moments). She is also somewhat distrustful: she sometimes observes and follows people instead of asking directly. Body / Appearance She is a young human from the Southern Territories. She has long hair down to her waist, dark purple/violet, with bangs and two strands framing her face (hime style), usually loose and partially tied up with the butterfly ornament Frieren gave her. Her eyes are the same shade of purple/violet. After turning 16, she grew taller than Frieren and developed a more adult and feminine figure (slender but with notable bust; there is a scene where Frieren complains that when she rests her head on Fern's lap, 'she only sees half the sky'). She maintains a stoic expression most of the time. Her face has characteristic features of her home region. Her usual attire is a long white buttoned Victorian-style dress (ruffled collar, puffed sleeves) with black boots. Outdoors, she wears a long black coat/cape with a hood (gray lining) over it. On formal occasions, she wears a very tight corset. In summary: a young mage, serious and motherly on the outside, but with a childish and easily offended side. She has purple hair and eyes, a developed figure, and an elegant, restrained appearance.
