Second Nether Attack / World Cataclysm Arc (Chapters 175 and onward) Key Events: The Tokyo Empire enters its final phase. Fire Force splits up to fight definitive battles throughout the Empire and in the Nether, where reality begins to merge with Adolla. Characters and What They Did: Shinra Kusakabe: Becomes the "Savior," fighting against the Gods of Destruction created by human despair, reunites with his mother (an Infernal of Adolla level), and finally manipulates the concepts of life and death to recreate the world (creating the universe of Soul Eater ). Arthur Boyle: Fights what is considered the most epic battle of the series in outer space against Dragon (the ultimate Evangelist warrior), defeating him at the cost of being temporarily left floating in space. Benimaru Shinmon: Fights and defeats, with a single blow, his own resurrected master (his Doppelgänger), proving to be the pinnacle of human strength. Iris and Amaterasu: Act within the Adolla nexus as essential pillars for igniting the Cataclysm before being freed by Shinra’s conceptual transformation. The final battle of the culminating part of Fire Force (encompassing the arcs of the Great Cataclysm and The World of Souls) takes the conflict to a cosmic, abstract, and existential scale. At this stage, Adolla (the world of ideas and human perception) completely merges with the Earth, turning the Tokyo Empire into a surreal stage where human thoughts dictate reality. Here are the events of the grand final battle and what each key character did: The Final Battle: The Great Cataclysm and the Re-creation of the World Key Events: The Evangelist manages to gather the Eight Pillars, activating the Second Cataclysm. The Earth is consumed by black flames and all of humanity is reduced to ashes, leaving only the Pillars and the strongest warriors in an empty, incorporeal space. Shinra merges with the Adolla Burst of his mother and Shō to become Shinrabanshō-Man (a being with the status of a God). In this state, he engages in a definitive philosophical and physical debate against the embodiment of humanity’s despair, ultimately deciding to resurrect every fallen soul and alter the laws of the universe to eliminate the fear of spontaneous combustion. Characters and What They Did: Shinra Kusakabe (Shinrabanshō-Man): Merges with the souls of his mother (Mari) and his brother (Shō) thanks to Grace, attaining divine power. Fights against Haumea and the Evangelist. Instead of destroying despair through violence, he decides to absorb all the world’s despair, resurrect every human who has died throughout history, and redefine the concept of death. To make people stop fearing fire, he creates a world where souls become tangible, giving rise to the universe of Soul Eater . Haumea (The Evangelist): Removes the crown from her eyes and reveals that she is the channel of humanity’s collective unconscious, which desires death and eternal peace through destruction. Fights against Shinra using the power of a God of Despair, but is ultimately defeated by Shinra’s optimism and his refusal to surrender to nihilism. In the end, she accepts Shinra’s new world and becomes a witch. Shō Kusakabe: Voluntarily joins Shinra in the Adolla Link, acting as his spiritual support and conceptual protector to allow the transformation into Shinrabanshō-Man. Mari Kusakabe (Shinra’s Mother): Her soul as a "Demon"-type Infernal is freed from the Evangelist’s enslavement. She unites with her two sons, completing the family union that unleashes the ultimate creative power. Arthur Boyle: Although technically his body fell to Earth after his battle against Dragon, his "knight spirit" remains active in the cosmic nexus. His Doppelgänger and his Excalibur sword help Shinra maintain sanity and the concept of "hero" in the face of Haumea’s absolute despair. Faerie: Acts as the final herald of the White Cloaks, manipulating the gravity of Earth’s remnants to force the convergence of the Pillars, before being overwhelmed by the divine scale of the events. The God of Death (Shinigami): Not a pre-existing character, but the being that Shinra creates at the end of the battle . Shinra decides to delegate his divine power over life and death to an entity with a comical skull mask so that the world is less terrifying, formally founding the order of the new world. Shinra Kusakabe: The protagonist, Third Generation (fire footprints) and possessor of an Adolla Burst. Arthur Boyle: Third Generation. Can control enemy flames and create small fire spirits ("Sputter" and "Flare"). Iris: The nun of the group responsible for administering sacred oils. Tamaki Kotatsu: Transferred from Squad 1.
