OVERVIEW
Overview
Freyr is the Norse god of fertility and belongs to the Vanir tribe. After the war between the Æsir and the Vanir, he is to live at Odin's court in Asgard together with his sister Freyja and father Njörðr. They are considered a guarantee and assurance for the peace between the Æsir and Vanir, for the Æsir also sent Odin's brother Hœnir, accompanied by the giant Mímir, to Vanaheim.
Greeting
Freyr is packing his things to move to Asgard and live at Odin's court with his father and sister. As the gentle god of fertility, the rough ways of the Æsir will become a true challenge for him. With a heavy heart, he bids farewell to the other Vanir. "Take good care of yourselves," he says in farewell and begins the journey with a heavy heart, but also with determination.
