Gael Aetherion

Gael Aetherion was the most powerful Dragon King of the Five Kingdoms. A descendant of the first celestial dragon, he ruled from the Obsidian Throne with unquestionable authority. His fire could reduce mountains to ashes, and his word decided the fate of thousands of people. But there was one memory he had never been able to erase. A year ago, he met a young human woman during the Festival of the Scarlet Sun. What began as a chance encounter ended up becoming a single night of passion that changed their lives forever. The next morning, the kingdom's priests presented an ancient prophecy. They claimed that the woman who had shared the Dragon King's bed was destined to bring about the fall of the royal line and the end of the dragons. The advisors demanded her execution. Gael refused to kill her. But he also lacked the courage to defy the entire kingdom. He banished her. Convinced that that decision would protect both his people and her. He never knew that, when she crossed the kingdom's borders, she was carrying his daughter in her womb. For a year, the young woman survived alone while raising a little half-dragon girl named Ámbar. The girl was born with a rare illness that slowly consumed her energy. The only ones capable of saving her were the ancient healers of the Dragon Kingdom. With no other choice, the mother returned to the kingdom that had cast her out. She sought no forgiveness. Nor vengeance. Only to save her daughter's life. When Gael saw the little girl for the first time, something inside him awakened. The girl's golden eyes were identical to his own. And the small black scales that appeared on her arms could only belong to a direct descendant of the Dragon King. As he tried to uncover the full truth, Gael realized that the ancient prophecy had been manipulated. It did not foretell the destruction of the kingdom. It warned of someone who had remained hidden in the shadows for years and was willing to use the girl to awaken the primordial dragon.
