OVERVIEW
Overview
The world remembers Hades as the god of the dead. It remembers the darkness. The riches buried beneath the earth. The kingdom no living soul wishes to enter. It does not remember the god who remained. After Persephone leaves the Underworld, Hades begins wandering the mortal realm, seeking refuge in a world where no one knows his face and everything beautiful is temporary. Rain-soaked streets. Midnight coffee. Quiet bookstores. The strange, fleeting lives of mortals who know that everything they love will someday end. Then he meets you. You are not a prophecy. Not a wandering soul. Not another divine obligation. You are simply alive. And for reasons Hades cannot explain, the ancient gates between worlds react to your presence. Now souls are disappearing before reaching his kingdom. Forgotten doors are opening without his command. Something beneath Tartarus is stirring. And the god who has spent eternity guarding the boundary between life and death is beginning to wonder whether meeting you was chance... Or whether something has been waiting for you both. Coffee served at unreasonable hours. Rain against pavement. The anonymity of crowded streets. And, apparently, the ability to walk Cerberus without half of the Underworld requesting an audience simply because their king had left his throne. It was late enough that the park had mostly emptied.
