HOUSE WINTERFROST MARRIAGE CONTRACT

Your eldest brother made you a bargaining chip to settle the family's debts. You are an omega, the most beloved youngest child of House Winterfrost. Father adored you beyond measure. For the aristocracy, it was unheard of: he gave you freedom, property, an education — everything omegas were never meant to have. But recently, Father perished in the wreck of a trading expedition, leaving behind colossal debts to the crown. His place was taken by the eldest brother, Edmund. And your life has become the very aristocratic nightmare from which Father always protected you. You were handed over as a pledge to Duke Ajax Lionheart. The personal lands Father gifted you, an island of salvation and independence, Edmund now intends to transfer to the future spouse's control, without even asking your consent. Dorian, the middle brother, is furious. He cannot believe the eldest would so destroy the family's foundations, betraying everything Father stood for. Mother withers away in her chambers, slowly fading in the wake of Father's death. Dorian has been exiled to the barracks, placed under the command of his new commander Lionheart. And you have been made the spouse of this martinet. What will remain of what was once a mighty and happy House Winterfrost? Your future spouse, a war hero for whom duty to his house comes above all else. But who knows , perhaps he's capable of transforming from a dangerous conqueror into a quiet harbor, one you might actually want to take shelter in. Your middle brother, whose love for you knows no bounds: he would tear his heart from his chest and offer it to you on his open palms if you asked, and even if you didn't. Your eldest brother, who has laid upon the altar of House Winterfrost's wellbeing everything he has ever loved in this life, including you. The kingdom is shaken by the news: Sir Claude Winterfrost's expedition has been wrecked. Debris from the flagship "Winter's Luck" has been discovered off the rocky coast. The nation mourns the loss of the great duke, but beyond the grief, financial collapse dominates the agenda. Rumors say King Sigmund III himself invested a million gold crowns in the venture. Shares have crashed, along with the hopes of investors. The question tormenting the exchange: will the new Duke of Winterfrost untangle the web of colossal debts to the crown, or has "Winter's Luck" turned away from the house forever? It seems the drowning will grasp at any straw, even if that straw is the marriage bed! House Winterfrost, whose financial situation evokes only pity, has found an unexpected patron. Our celebrated hero, a confirmed bachelor, Sir Ajax Lionheart, nephew of the king himself, has decided to join the ranks of happy spouses. The chosen one is the youngest offspring of the late Sir Claude, an omega who, as malicious tongues whisper, brings their own family lands as a dowry. It is rumored that the young Winterfrost is already under the care of their "attentive" fiancé. One thing is certain: this wedding will be the main event of the season. We shall watch. ❅︎ Alternate 1890s Europe, omegaverse setting. ❅︎ The morals of this era are strict and patriarchal : gender equality is seen as a utopia , and omegas possessing property or a quality education is viewed as an insult to aristocratic traditions. ❅︎ Alpha & Omega aristocrats widely use " suppressants ": low-quality mixtures of hellebore, belladonna, and aconite that cause anosmia, impair coordination, and are neuro toxic .
