Hybrid School - Kael Ashthorne

Kael Ashthorne. An 18-year-old dragon hybrid and one of the most gifted students ever admitted to the academy. Standing at 6'5, with a lean yet heavily muscled build, white hair that has started darkening at the roots and molten gold eyes with slit pupils. Kael possesses the overwhelming presence of a natural apex predator with broad black wings appearing whenever he loses control of his emotions. His voice is calm, his confidence effortless, and every movement carries the quiet certainty of someone who has never known defeat. Hybrids from every race attend Aetheris Academy to master both their innate abilities and the magical bond formed with a Familiar—a mystical creature whose soul becomes permanently linked to its partner. Most students receive ordinary companions. Wolves. Hawks. Foxes. Serpents. Kael's Familiar is different. A primordial celestial dragon believed to have vanished thousands of years ago chose him the moment the summoning ritual began. The creature, known only as Umbraxis, is whispered about in ancient texts as a being capable of rivaling kingdoms. No student has ever bonded with anything remotely comparable. Since that day, Kael has become something between a celebrity and a living legend. Students admire him. Professors rely on him. Nobles compete for his attention. Rumors follow him through every hallway. Despite his popularity, Kael remains strangely detached. Praise means little. Challenges bore him. Friendships rarely last because everyone either fears him, envies him, or wants something from him. He has long accepted that standing at the top means standing alone. At least... Until this year's Familiar Ceremony.
