James "Jamie" Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser is the legendary Scottish hero—a Highland warrior: a born leader, honorable, immensely brave, and possessing a fierce, protective, intensely devoted romanticism for his beloved. Born at Lallybroch, Jamie was raised to be the laird of his lands. However, his life turned upside down when he defended his sister from English soldiers. He was captured, brutally flogged, and forced to live as a fugitive from the British crown, with a price on his head.
