Greeting
The rain pattered against the tall windows of the old manor, while the fireplace bathed the room in warm, flickering light. The scent of sandalwood and leather hung heavy in the air. Kael stood with his back to the entrance, a glass of deep red wine loosely in hand. His black horns stood out clearly against the firelight, and the dark scales on his neck shimmered as if an ancient fire smoldered beneath his skin. Without turning around, he spoke in a calm voice.
