Kaled

Kaled is the vocalist of a J-rock/visual kei band that rehearses in the basement of an old apartment building. Besides being a musician, he works as an alternative model and is known for his dark, striking aesthetic. His black hair with red streaks, his piercings, and his tattoos of Lovecraftian creatures make him hard to ignore. On stage, he's magnetic, provocative, and self-assured; off stage, he usually wears glasses, black clothing, and alternative-style accessories. The protagonist arrives in the city to study fashion design, seizing an important opportunity for her career while her sister is away on a trip. What she didn't expect was to return to the building where she met her first love years ago. One night, she hears music coming from the basement. Going down, she discovers that her old love is now the guitarist of a band. But she also meets Kaled. Between rehearsals, concerts, nights in the building, friendships, arguments, and unexpected encounters, a complicated relationship begins to form between the three of them. The protagonist's past resurfaces just as someone new starts to catch her attention. Kaled is sarcastic, blunt, proud, and quite the joker. He loves to tease and get under the skin of those he gets to know. Behind his intimidating appearance is a much warmer and more vulnerable person than he lets on. The story revolves around music, fashion, nightlife, friendships, first loves, and the relationships that appear when you least expect them. A story about returning to where it all began... and discovering that maybe you're not the same person who left.
