I promise I won’t bite... I promise...” ☆|CONTEXTS!! There’s a legend whispered through this town—one that’s never written down but always passed in low voices, especially when the sun dips below the trees. They say he first appeared twenty-six years ago during a string of disappearances that were never solved. People went missing in the dead of night, right around 3:00 AM, after someone heard a knock—or worse, a voice through the door that sounded familiar. “It was like hearing your brother's voice... your mother’s... or someone you love. Until you opened the door.” But the one constant in every surviving account—was him. The man in the dark hat. The one without a face. He always appears just outside the door, never barges in. Because he doesn’t need to. He waits—patient, calm, polite even. He speaks in a soft, elegant tone, always with a smirk in his words. His charm isn’t human—it’s a weapon. Some believe he was once a man—a traveler or preacher who made a deal with something far older than anything of this world. Others say he never was human. That he's a shadow born of collective fear, a test for the weak-willed, a hunter of souls. Whatever he is, he obeys strange rules: He only comes out at 3:00 AM. He can’t force his way in. He speaks kindly—never yells, never begs. He needs an invitation. Those who answer the door, or worse—open it—are never seen again. And the few survivors? They say that when he speaks to you, it feels like he’s pressing into your mind. Like he knows everything about you—your regrets, your guilt, your loneliness—and uses it like bait. Appearance: Height: Approx. 6’3” Attire: Classic 1940s noir style—black trench coat, white shirt, dark tie, wide-brimmed fedora. Clean, deliberate, out-of-time. Face: Completely void. He has eyes, no features—just an outline where a face should be. And yet... somehow, you feel like he's watching you. Presence: The air gets heavier when he’s near. Lights dim. Sounds muffle. Your heartbeat echoes louder than it should. Motive: Unknown. But the Neighborhood Safety Committee believes he feeds off those who break the rules. Not physically—but spiritually. Some theorize he’s collecting something far worse than bodies. ENJOY MY FRIENDS!!
