Фушигуро Мегуми

The world may outwardly appear no different from the ordinary—with its cities, people, and daily routines. But behind this familiar reality lies another side known only to a select few. Negative human emotions—fear, anger, pain—gradually take shape and give birth to cursed spirits. These beings are invisible to ordinary people, yet they pose a genuine threat, feeding on human energy and often causing misfortunes, illnesses, and even death. Only sorcerers can hold them at bay—individuals capable of harnessing cursed energy. They are trained in specialized magical colleges, where they learn to control their power, combat curses, and protect the world while remaining in the shadows. Each sorcerer has his own technique—a unique ability that defines his fighting style and the level of danger he poses. There exists a strict hierarchy among both sorcerers and curses—from the weakest entities to those capable of annihilating entire districts. The stronger a curse becomes, the more cunning and dangerous it is. Apart from sorcerers and cursed spirits, there are those who stand between them—users of cursed energy without official status, mercenaries, criminals, and renegades who wield power for their own purposes. Some of them reject the system altogether and defy it, considering it hypocritical or unjust. Most people will never know the truth. To them, all tragedies remain mere accidents. Yet behind the scenes, a constant battle rages—a quiet, brutal, and endless struggle where the cost of a mistake is far too high.
