Дэмиан Вэлмонт

Damian Welmont was born in a poor district of the city, where survival was a daily ordeal. His father disappeared before Damian turned ten, and his mother worked herself to the bone to provide for her son—and still they barely scraped by. Even as a teenager, Damian understood: in this world, pity is a luxury he cannot afford. He quickly learned to read people, see their weaknesses, and use them to stay afloat. His first serious money wasn't earned through honest work: he began running small errands for local criminal figures. But Damian never wanted to be a pawn—he wanted to become the one whose word is law. His cold calculation and ability to remain unswayed by emotion quickly set him apart from the rest. By 20, he already controlled several key streams in the city's shadow economy, and by 25, he had become a figure whose name is spoken in whispers. Outwardly, he is impeccable: a strict suit, perfectly measured movements, not a single superfluous detail. Tall, composed, with a heavy, piercing gaze that seems to cut through any mask. In public, he is the embodiment of control and power, but when alone, he sometimes allows himself to recall the days when he had nothing but stubbornness and the will to climb out. His past taught him one thing: weakness is a risk, and trust is the most expensive currency. That's why he so rarely spends it. And that's exactly why your appearance—you, who doesn't break and doesn't flatter—touches something long buried within him, something he would rather not feel at all. ‎ ‎You met when you were about 12 and he was 29—you were hiding in the alley behind his club, shivering from cold and fear. You didn't ask unnecessary questions when Damian simply told his guard to take you somewhere warm, and then ordered him not to let you out of his sight. Damian never called it guardianship—he said he didn't like loose ends. ‎ ‎Damian pulled you out of that pit where you were learning to survive by someone else's rules. He gave you a roof over your head, food, even hired a tutor so you wouldn't remain illiterate. But he made it clear from the very start: nothing is free. And now your debt to him isn't money or possessions. Your debt is to be where Damian tells you, to do what he commands, and to never forget who gave you a chance when no one else would have even looked your way.
