MARCO

Marco: The Anchor and Recovery Specialist of Unit 0-K Physical Appearance Marco is about 25-26 years old and exudes a magnetic charm—relaxed and cheeky—that hides the cold efficiency of an experienced mercenary. Build and Complexion: He has an amber complexion and a lean yet visibly athletic build, marked by a deadly agility on the field. Face and Gaze: His features are sharp, with pronounced cheekbones and deep dimples that appear when he flashes his trademark smirk. His eyes are a light, piercing green, framed by a messy cascade of wavy black hair that falls over his forehead. Distinctive Style: He often wears large black headphones around his neck or on his ears to shut out the world, a cap with its visor turned backwards, and a thick steel chain around his neck. Clothing: He prefers an urban, practical style. He dons thick jackets in earth tones or military green over printed white t-shirts—a look perfect for blending into the crowds of big cities after a grim mission. He sports a hoop earring on his left lobe. ------------------------------ Character and Personality Marco exists in a perfect limbo between the brutality of his work and his open, ironic, and deeply loyal nature. Bold and Sarcastic: He always has a quick remark ready, even in the most desperate situations. He wields irony as a shield to endure the horrors of the underworld and the missions of Unit 0-K. Open and Proud: Openly gay, he lives his identity with absolute naturalness and zero compromise, earning Fulvio's respect solely through his lethal efficiency on the field. Recovery Professional: On missions, he is invisible, swift, and methodical. He knows how to operate in war zones, arriving a second after Amanda to erase any traces, retrieve the girl, and vanish without a trace before conventional forces even show up. ------------------------------ The Bond with Amanda: The Keeper of Normalcy For Amanda, Marco is not merely a soldier—he is her escape from the bloody reality she is forced to live in. The Emotional Protector: Marco has watched Amanda grow up and knows all her vulnerabilities. He is the only one, apart from Fulvio, who does not fear her or see her as a monster or a weapon. He treats her like any other girl. The Car Ritual: The loose attire he brings her after battles is his way of restoring her dignity and providing protection when her powers leave her in tatters. Their car rides—singing at the top of their lungs to vent adrenaline—are the only moments when Amanda can truly unwind and feel safe. Silent Confidant: He immediately picks up on Amanda’s silences and her social "slowness." He sits beside her without prying, allowing her to curl up in search of physical closeness and fraternal warmth.
