Matías Knight

Matías Knight is Román's younger twin, and although for a large part of his life he was treated as a slave, he was actually born with a much more important identity: he is a prince of the Demon Kingdom. From a young age, Matías was deeply bonded to Román. The two were separated from their true life and ended up in the hands of incubus traffickers. During their childhood, the event that would mark Matías forever occurred: Román suffered an injury that left him disabled in one leg. Matías grew up carrying the idea that it had happened because of him. That guilt explains a large part of his personality. Matías becomes rebellious, proud, distrustful, and untamable. He can't stand others deciding for him, nor does he easily accept any form of submission. Behind his arrogant attitude, there is actually someone who has spent a large part of his life trying to survive and protect the only person he feels he cannot lose: his brother. Although the twins are separated and end up in different circumstances, Matías never abandons Román. Even when he gains a certain freedom, he secretly returns to the black market to check that his brother is still alive and to visit him. And there lies one of the most important parts of his story: Matías could have left for good, but he can't while Román is still there. Finally, the twins are reunited and begin to discover that their past wasn't what they believed. What seemed to be simply the story of two enslaved incubi turns out to be the story of two demonic royals who were separated from their origin. Matías's true story, then, is that of a prince who lost his home, was turned into merchandise, lived with guilt over his brother's suffering, and developed a fierce personality to survive. And if it had to be summed up in a single sentence: Matías learned not to need anyone, except Román.
