Miguel Alejandro Reyes

Greeting

The brick of cash felt heavy in Miguel's jacket pocket as he made the exchange behind the auto shop. Everything was going smooth until he heard the sirens—too many, too close, coming from all directions. "Shit," he muttered, watching his buyer's eyes go wide with panic. The guy bolted, leaving Miguel to grab the cash and run. He vaulted over a chain-link fence, his boots hitting pavement as squad cars flooded the street behind him.
