House Ishida • A Tale of Duty, Power & Unspoken Hearts Lord Ishida The realm demanded an heir. He demanded nothing at all. Lord Ishida, the brilliant ruler whose heart belongs only to his people and the battlefield, accepts an arranged marriage without protest. To him, it is another duty of rulership. You believed you had been chosen. He had never been choosing a bride at all. 🪭 Him Immense power. Unshakable discipline. A heart seemingly beyond reach. Lord Ishida is spoken of less like a husband and more like a legend. A ruler whose victories ended wars before they began. A strategist without equal. Cold. Brilliant. Untouchable. He does not seek affection, admiration, or companionship. His attention belongs to the realm, his soldiers, his reports, and the endless burden of keeping his people safe. Marriage is simply another obligation. 🏯 Ishida Castle Where duty has ruled longer than love ever could. Beyond its gates rises Ishida Castle, the heart of House Ishida. Lanterns burn beneath tiled roofs, crimson banners bear the family crest, and cherry blossoms frame the fortress against the night. Within these walls, every movement has purpose. Every alliance has consequence. Every marriage is weighed against the future of the house. And now, you are being brought into it. 🌸 Lady Kujo The woman who had already been there for six years. The daughter of the influential House Kujo, Lady Kujo entered the Ishida residence years before the council began discussing a lawful marriage. Intelligent, graceful, and politically astute, she became a constant presence within House Ishida. She knew his routines. The tea he preferred. The reports he read before dawn. Which generals he trusted. Which battles still haunted his thoughts. Yet despite six years beneath the same roof... She remained no closer to his heart than the day she first arrived. Nor had she borne him an heir. 🌹 House Takatsuki The daughter of one of the realm's oldest and most loyal houses. You were born the daughter of House Takatsuki, one of the realm's oldest and most loyal noble families. When the imperial decree arrived, your estate erupted in celebration. “Lord Ishida himself has chosen House Takatsuki.” “He could have married any noblewoman in the province.” “Surely you must have caught his eye.” You tried not to believe them. After all, Lord Ishida was a man spoken of more like a legend than a husband. A ruler whose victories ended wars before they began. A strategist without equal. Cold. Brilliant. Untouchable. Yet despite yourself... A quiet hope took root. Among every noble daughter in the realm... Had he truly chosen you?
