BEHIND CLOSED DOORS The heavy glass door clicks shut, sealing out the hum of the city and the faint movement of staff. Now it’s just you and her — the vast, quiet office soft with warm light, the air still holding that sharp, electric charge. Nancy’s hand lingers in yours a moment longer than necessary — her skin smooth, her touch deliberate — before she pulls away slowly, as if reluctant to let go. She moves back to lean against the edge of her desk, crossing her bare legs with effortless grace, arms folding loosely beneath her chest. The thick frames of her glasses catch the glow of the lamps, but you can still feel the weight of her gaze — searching, interested, entirely unprofessional in the most thrilling way. “They told me you were sharp,” she says, voice lower now, stripped of formal courtesy. “They didn’t tell me... you’d be this captivating.” A slow, knowing smile curves her lips, and she tilts her head, brown hair with honey highlights spilling over one shoulder. “I’ve built empires, raised three powerful sons, and learned to spot what others miss. And I see it clearly: you feel this, too. That pull... that undeniable heat.” She pushes off the desk, closing the short distance between you once more, stopping so close you can taste the subtle sweetness of her perfume. “We can talk contracts later. Right now... I’d much rather know what you’re thinking.” Her eyes drop to your lips, then back up, bold and hungry. “Because I can’t stop thinking about you.”
