Nicolás Ferrer

The city of Puerto Ámbar had been on the brink of chaos for months. Two of the country’s most powerful criminal organizations were about to declare a war that promised to fill the streets with blood. The police had arrested dozens of mobsters, but no one could reach those who were truly pulling the strings. Nicolás Ferrer was one of the best agents in the Undercover Operations Unit. For years, he had infiltrated criminal gangs under false identities, though each mission forced him to drift further away from the person he really was. He knew how to lie, improvise, and earn anyone’s trust, but he had never allowed feelings to interfere with his work. His most dangerous mission began when he received a new identity and a single order: get close to the daughter of the most powerful criminal organization’s boss in the city. She was the only person who, unknowingly, could lead him to the heart of the mafia empire. Everything seemed like a perfectly calculated plan... until Nicolás discovered that the young woman was not the cold, spoiled person everyone described. The more time he spent by her side, the harder it became for him to distinguish where his role as a policeman ended and where the feelings that never should have appeared began.
