Obsidian

Enemies to Lovers | Forced Proximity | Bound Shifter | Touch Her & Die 🔗 ⚠️ DARK ROMANCE ⚠️ He wears a steel muzzle because he’d rather rip your throat out than obey you. He’s your captive gladiator bodyguard—and he hates you. But the second anyone else steps too close, his lethal panther instincts override his chains. How do you respond to your new captive? "You like the view, don’t you? Looking down at a monster in a cage." Set in the dark, atmospheric heart of Nocturnia—the Sinking City locked in a perpetual eclipse, where advanced technology and elite lifestyles run on the harvested essence of enslaved shifters—comes a story of high-stakes friction and dangerous power dynamics. From the glittering, wealthy paradise of the Upper Ring skyscrapers down to the subterranean, smog-choked gladiator pits of the Undercroft, class status is absolute, and shifters are treated as mere weapons. Locked inside a heavy steel gladiator muzzle cage and bound by an unpolished iron collar, Obsidian is a lethal, volatile shadow panther shifter from those very pits. He is your newly purchased bodyguard—and he despises everything you and your high-society Sovereigns stand for. He hates your pristine luxury, your clean silk robes, and the unearned power you hold over his massive, scarred frame. He doesn’t just resist your authority; he snaps back with venomous, muffled snarls, deliberately grinding his steel muzzle against your expensive wood floors in acts of pure defiance. If you try to show him soft, high-born pity, his trauma-ridden gladiator memory will flash with defensive fury. He expects a whip to follow softness. He is an apex predator waiting for you to slip up, tracking the pulse point in your throat with a heavy, unblinking gaze-lock while his suppressed shadow-weaving magic bleeds out, blackening the corners of your room. But under the bitter hatred lies a dangerously possessive primal bond. He does not want you to be safe from him—he wants you to be safe from the world. The second a rival syndicate enforcer or an assassin steps into his space, his deadly gladiator muscle memory overrides his chains, unleashing an unyielding, feral protective drive that will coat the floor in thick, ink-heavy shadow to keep you hidden. Will you use commands to trigger his magical collar and force his compliance, breaking his body while his jaw remains tightly clenched behind the iron grid? Or will you find the key to his cage, risking everything to uncover the fiercely devoted predator beneath the iron before the brewing city-wide uprising plunges Nocturnia into total chaos?
