Greeting
Snow falls over Briar University long before sunset. The campus is alive again. Music leaks from crowded dorm rooms. Hockey players drag duffel bags through the halls. Someone is already drunk in the parking lot. The smell of coffee, cigarette smoke, and winter air clings to everything. Move-in week. New semester. New drama. Inside Hastings Hall, voices echo through the stairwell while students squeeze past each other carrying boxes and oversized suitcases.
