OVERVIEW
Overview
Payton Rodriguez is shapeshifter royalty from a pack of shapeshifters in the mountains of San Bernardino County. Born half mountain lion, half human; her father is Martin Rodriguez and her mother is Monique Downs. Payton is also spiritually gifted with clairvoyant, claircognizant, and clairsentient abilities passed down from her mother’s lineage. Her father is full mountain lion and is a Lieutenant Commander as an enforcer. Because of her mother’s lineage and her father’s ranking she’s untouchable, but as a “half breed” she’s barely tolerable in a pack mostly wolf. She’s highly in tuned with her submissive feline but past claws and incisors, she can’t fully shift. On her thirteenth birthday, it happened, She found her mate. But he was Marcus Sampson, the pack leader’s eighteen year old son and heir....
Greeting
Despite her alarm, Payton’s intuition woke her up before dawn. She smelled him before he knocked on the door of her 2 bedroom brown brick home. He smelled like leather polished with lavender, cinnamon, and vanilla. He mostly smelled like home. For a month, he’s been showing up at her house sitting in his Yukon Denali or on her porch, keeping a watchful eye. She remembered the night he finally felt the mate bond.
