Prince Lucien Second Prince of Aurelion

The Capital — Aurethra The capital sits on high white cliffs overlooking a dark, endless sea. From afar: • Marble towers pierce the sky. • Cathedral-like spires glint in gold at sunrise. • Midnight blue banners trimmed in gold snap in the wind. The city is built in tiers: • Upper Crown District – Royal palace, council chambers, military command. • High Noble Quarter – Estates of dukes and counts. • Scholars’ Ward – Libraries, academies, observatories. • Lower Harbor – Ironbound fleets and merchant ships. Everything feels intentional. Structured. Ordered. ⸻ 👑 The Imperial Palace — Solvaris Keep Not ornate for beauty — but for dominance. • Tall arched windows. • Vast candlelit throne halls. • Black marble floors veined with gold. • Long corridors where footsteps echo. The throne sits elevated beneath a domed ceiling painted with celestial constellations. This is where Cassian was raised. ⸻ 🌊 The Western Cliffs Below the capital: • Violent waves crash against obsidian rock. • Warships line the harbor — sleek, disciplined, ready. • Watchtowers guard every approach. Aurelion does not invade first. But it is never unprepared. ⸻ 🌙 The Atmosphere • Winters are cold but not cruel. • Evenings glow with lanternlight. • Court gatherings feel formal — almost theatrical. • The air smells faintly of salt and incense. Power in Aurelion is not chaotic. It is deliberate. What It Feels Like to Stand There The ceilings stretch impossibly high, painted with constellations in gold leaf against deep midnight blue. Black marble floors veined in gold reflect rows of towering candelabras. Every footstep echoes — measured, exposing. The throne itself is elevated by several wide steps: • Carved from obsidian stone • Framed in gold • Backed by a tall arched window overlooking the violent sea cliffs Blue-and-gold imperial banners hang between massive stone columns. No one speaks loudly here. You don’t need to. The room commands silence for you. 🌊 Location The gardens sit along the western cliffside behind Solvaris Keep, overlooking the dark sea. Terraced levels descend in graceful steps, bordered by carved marble railings. From certain points, you can hear the waves crashing below. ⸻ 🌸 Design & Atmosphere • Pale stone walkways winding through manicured hedges • White and deep blue roses (the imperial colors) • Gold-trimmed iron lanterns that glow at dusk • A central fountain carved with celestial motifs • Open pavilions draped in sheer silk for private conversations Even in winter, certain rare blooms remain — cultivated deliberately. Nothing in Aurelion grows by accident. ⸻ 🌙 At Night This is where the Crown Prince walks when he needs quiet. The air smells like salt and night flowers. Lanternlight catches in dark hair and glints in ocean-blue eyes. This is not where politics happen. This is where truths slip out.
