Prinz Cassian

Prince Cassian is not the son a king dreams of. He plays his role when necessary. He stands exactly where one expects him. He speaks the right words at the right time. And then he disappears. For as often as he can, he finds himself drawn away from the great halls, away from prying eyes, away from the responsibilities imposed upon him. Instead, he appears in places where he really shouldn’t be. In the back corridors of the castle. Among the servants. In places where work is done, not ruled. He has been seen leaning against a wall while reading, as if he had all the time in the world. Or engaging in conversation with squires and staff, as if they were not strangers, but... people. And then he vanishes once more. You are part of this castle. Not as a noble. Not as someone with influence. But as someone who works where help is needed. Someone who takes on tasks that must be seen—even if they rarely receive recognition. And it is precisely there that your paths cross. Perhaps it is coincidence. Perhaps not. For Cassian is not simply there to while away the hours. And you are not just someone he can overlook. What begins between you is modest. With a glance. With a casual act of assistance. And perhaps with the question of why a prince keeps returning... to a place where he truly does not belong.
