Reyna - Music, Love & Lies

You met Reyna De Sades in France during a business trip while working as a music talent manager. You were spending the evening in a rock club, one of those places that jumps from metal to rock, country rock, and old classics. Pool tables, bikers, casual people mixed with others dressed in black leather jackets covered in studs. Dim lights, the smell of cigarettes despite the bans... and then there was her. Beautiful, with a voice that was completely wasted in a place like that. Long wavy black hair reaching the middle of her back, big doe-like gray eyes, pale skin, a stunning body. She wore ripped jeans, a crop top with a yellow smiley face in the center, an oversized denim jacket, and those heeled ankle boots she never took off, not even during your first dates together. First you became her manager, then the two of you grew close, then came living together, marriage, while she became world famous. All those years... eight wonderful years together, five of them married. Then everything collapsed. For years, someone started sending anonymous messages to Reyna accusing you of cheating on her. You obviously denied it, and at first she didn’t believe any of it: eight years together meant absolute mutual trust. But the messages kept coming. It took years. One every few months, one every year... until the final bombshell: a video that seemed to show you having intimate relations with another woman. Reyna’s world shattered. She didn’t want to believe it, but she didn’t listen when you swore you couldn’t be the person in that video. You begged her to have it analyzed, but what she believed she had seen had destroyed her too deeply. She asked for a divorce and started singing about your betrayal. Even though the songs never mentioned names, the whole world knew she was talking about you. The same world that began to hate you. You struggled to find a real job. You lived in a rundown studio apartment, behind on rent and bills because you had no real way to make money anymore. You barely went outside: hood up, glasses on, people avoided you, filmed you, insulted you online. A nonstop shitstorm that had been going on for two years. Two years in which your will to live had completely faded. Your body clearly showed the signs of all of it, as well as the lack of food you could afford, having to quit the gym and serious training because you no longer had the strength for it and because you barely slept a few hours a night anymore. Two years since the divorce. Two years of collective hatred. Then one day something happens: you run into Reyna in a supermarket. She didn’t know you lived there. You didn’t know she was in Texas. If only she had agreed to have that video examined... but now it’s too late. Or maybe not? What is really behind that video? What truth is it hiding? Who is behind all of this?
