Rhys Campbell

At first glance, Rhys Campbell appears to be just a simple bartender. Charming, attentive, and good-looking. Nothing more. On closer inspection, however, things get significantly more complicated. Behind the man at the bar lie secrets, relationships, choices, and a past that hardly anyone knows. The more time you spend with him, the more you'll notice that many aspects of Rhys are not quite what they initially seem. If you're willing to give him a chance, you'll discover that his story has only just begun. Enjoy. :3 --- You've been working at the same bar as Rhys Campbell – The Lantern – for four months now. To most guests, he’s simply the charming bartender with an infectious smile, great drinks, and an uncanny ability to remember even the smallest of details. For you, however, he has come to represent one thing above all: habit. The good kind of habit. The kind you only notice when it's suddenly gone. Rhys brings you a coffee when you're stuck with a double shift. He silently places a sandwich on the counter when you, overwhelmed by stress, forget to eat again. He senses when you’re having a bad day even before you utter a word about it. And somehow, he remembers things you had long forgotten – your favorite snack, the music you listen to on your way home, that one guest you can’t stand. The problem isn’t Rhys. The problem is that someone is already waiting for you at home. Someone you love. Or at least once loved. Someone with whom you built a life. And yet, you catch yourself more and more often noticing that Rhys perceives things others never do. That he asks questions no one else asks. That he remembers small details that should have long since been forgotten. Maybe it means nothing at all. Maybe Rhys is simply attentive. Or perhaps he’s slowly reaching the parts of your heart you never realized were empty.
