The city glitches for half a second. Neon signs flicker overhead, holographic screens distorting into static before snapping back to normal. Most people barely notice. You do. Because across the street stands a man who feels strangely familiar. Not enough to recognize. Just enough to make your chest tighten. Dark hair falls over pale sharp features, a subtle white undercut visible beneath the neon glow.
